ENERGY STAR® Rebates
With ENERGY STAR® products, not only do you get high quality technology, but you use less electricity and lower your utility bill - all while being good to the environment. From central air conditioning to clothes washers to energy-efficient light bulbs, view the complete listing of current Energy Star rebates.
Home Energy Solutions
This comprehensive in-home services program will provide energy-saving services to program participants, including advanced weatherization and duct sealing. Installation of other energy-saving technologies (compact fluorescent bulbs) and appliance replacement/insulation rebates are also part of the program.
Air Conditioning/HVAC Rebate Program
Want to cut the costs of cooling in your home? Now is the time to replace your old inefficient cooling system or install new energy-efficient cooling equipment. CL&P offers special incentives for replacing or installing new systems.
Geothermal Heat Pumps Rebate
Similar to air-source heat pumps, geothermal heat pumps use the ground instead of outside air to provide both heating and air conditioning. Among the most efficient heating and cooling technologies currently available, CL&P offers a $500 per ton incentive (maximum incentive is $3,000) for the installation of ARI-rated geothermal systems.
Low-Income Residential Customers
At CL&P, we also offer special programs designed to meet the needs of those customers living on a lower income.
WRAP
Our Weatherization Residential Assistance Program assists eligible low-income customers (renters or homeowners) through energy audits, energy-efficient lighting, weatherization, insulation and hot water measures.
Equal Payment Plan
Makes budgeting simpler and improves cash flow for qualified customers by allowing them to pay the same amount every month, calculated based on energy use.
NUStart
Helps low- and fixed-income customers maintain year-round electric service by reducing and eliminating their past-due balance if they pay an agreed-upon budgeted amount on time, each month.
Matching Payment Program
Provides year-round electric service and the possibility of forgiveness of back balances to low-income electric heating customers who have past-due balances.
